The first was the official release of pictures of the new Buick Regal GS this morning.
This new "not your grandpa's Buick" is a great design. Its sharp lines and edgy styling should make it appeal to a new generation of buyer, and continue to lower the age of the average Buick buyer, and help sales of the brand. The car has 255 horsepower coming from a Turbo Four Cylinder Ecotec 2.0 liter. The engined is paired with a 6 speed manual transmission, and all wheel drive. This should give the car great gas mileage for the segment and will produce 0-60 times somewhere just under six seconds.
The second new Car for today was a picture of the new Chevrolet Aveo RS that was released before the embargo was to end on the pictures tonight.

This is a much more aggressive looking design of the Aveo than the outgoing model. The outgoing model was cute and foreign, this new design looks like a car that could really compete for sales in the segment. More information will come out on the Aveo next week when it is officially debuted at the Detroit Auto Show.
